[Safe] Fun in The Sun: Beautiful Sunscreen

Image
There are many beauty products on the market that boast sunscreen protection.    With all of the choices available, I thought that I would share the products that I've used most recently and help you decide if they're right for you or not.   Looking for a facial sunscreen with a matte finish? Check out Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen.       Facial sunscreen that doubles as a primer, leaving your face smooth as a baby's bottom? No you're not dreaming. Supergoop!'s Unseen Sunscreen goes on clear and dries to a matte finish while also smoothing out your skin, making it ready for foundation.     Of course, you can use this sunscreen without makeup. The blurring powers of this protection potion are on par with many expensive prestige primers. I find that the texture reminds me of Smashbox's Photo Finish primer. Since the finish is satiny smooth and matte, your skin is photo ready and fabulous.     I highly rec...

Super Serum *REVIEW*: Yeouth Anti-aging Super Serum

Image
Yeouth Anti-aging Super Serum is the prefect ending to a stressful day. When I get home in the evening I'm usually feeling overworked, overwhelmed, and in need of winding down. I know that there are a lot of ways that you can prep yourself for a nice quiet night of beauty sleep, but this serum does wonders not only for my skin, but also my mind!    After washing my face and using my toner, I apply this serum to my face and neck. The serum gets absorbed into my skin without feeling heavy or oily. (I really appreciate skincare that doesn't leave extra oil on my combination/oily skin.) The sweet lavender scent calms my mind without being overpowering (like most lavender-scented products tend to be) and gets me into my calm place. When I wake up, my skin looks radiant, smooth, and refreshed. I'm looking forward to trying other Yeouth products since they use quality ingredients without breaking my bank account.    *** Check out my Instagram feed for mor...

Holy Grail of Skincare ☆ Maple Holistics Argan Oil ☆ REVIEW

Image
As you may already know, multitasking products are a time-saving godsend. Even more so when you can use them from head to toe. Multitasking Natural Wonder: Maple Holistics 100% Natural Argan Oil    I was asked to test and review a product from Maple Holistics which is a company based in New Jersey that makes all natural products that are perfect for anyone trying to be more healthy and conscious of what you put in and on your body. I chose to try out their Argan Oil over the course of a month and then provide the results for you, my readers. I also have a special link for FREE SAMPLES of Maple Holistics products! HAIR  My hair before using Maple Holistics Argan Oil and after applying the oil to my hair.     Anyone who dyes or bleaches their hair knows that a good moisturizer is a must have. With my ever-changing colors, I am very susceptible to split ends and frizzled hair. I take vitamins that help my hair grow strong and healthy a...

Magic CONCEALER Wand! ☆ : Julep Cushion Complexion

Image
Julep's Cushion Complexion 5 in 1 Skin Perfector is much more than a concealer.        Normally when a company claims that their product had multiple uses, I roll my eyes. Any product has multiple uses if you're clever enough, but it's just not practical or convenient. So when I heard of the cushion complexion concealer wand I wasn't exactly confident that this would be "The One." I was shown the error of my ways when I got the opportunity to test out the Julep Cushion Complexion for myself.    The Cushion Complexion has multiple practical applications for applying makeup. The first way to use this product (and probably most common) is as a concealer.  After applying my eye makeup I used the wand to sharpen the outer edges of my eye makeup and to cover my dark circles under my eyes. This concealer is opaque and covers imperfections marvelously.  I only needed one layer in order to cover my dark spots and dark under eye area. Of course if ...

Japanese Skincare for Sensitive Skin!

HADA LABO Tokyo: Anti-Aging Hydrator & Skin Plumping Gel Cream - REVIEW Hada Labo Tokyo Anti-Aging Hydrator serum & Skin Plumping Gel Cream  Hada Labo's Anti-Aging Hydrator is wonderfully effective.  The Hydrator serum has a very lightweight liquid consistency.      This serum absorbs really fast into the skin on my face and neck,  and leaves them feeling hydrated without the weight of heavy cream moisturizers.  This has become one of my favorite daytime moisturizers.  It's perfect for my combination skin in that it moisturize the areas that are dry,  but doesn't add to the areas of my face that are oily.      I noticed a slight difference in the texture of my skin on my neck and cheeks after a couple weeks of use.  My skin feels more supple and maintains a healthier glow. I also noticed that my face feels a lot smoother after I apply this serum too my face. This serum is prefect for anyone wit...

No7 Youthful Vitamin C Fresh Radiance Essence REVIEW & Demo

Image
Review: No7 Youthful Vitamin C Fresh Radiance Essence     I recently had the pleasure of testing out No7's Vitamin C essence.  Even though I know that an "essence" is one of the essential 10 steps of Korean skincare,  I have put off actually using one.  I've always thought that using a serum before my moisturizer should be adequate enough.  After trying this product out though,  I have changed my mind.     I have honestly seen a big difference in the quality of my facial skin after using this essence. Even though I haven't played out in the sun nearly as much as I normally do, I have managed to add sun damage to my face. A large part of that might have to do with my pregnancy hormones making me more sensitive to light (even though I swear I wear sunblock). But after using this product for three days I immediately noticed my skin looked smoother and felt more supple and less dry.  My sun spots were starting to l...

Step By Step: photos

Image
I was asked by one of my friends to do a makeup tutorial so that they can see how I do my makeup. It's kind of a lengthy process to go through step by step in words. I have yet to figure out how to record myself hands-free, so I decided to make a visual tutorial using photos.  I'll show and tell how I go from this: Fresh-faced, just after washing. to this: This is the final outcome.          The first step after washing your face is to use a toner. Good skincare is key to beautiful makeup. That way you don't have to spend as much time hiding and concealing every inch of your skin. You're just going to enhance and paint on the beautiful canvas that you already have. When using toner, make sure that you use upward strokes to remove any lingering dirt or oils that may have been left behind. Make sure that you follow up with a serum, lotion, or both (depending on your skin type).      After applying moistur...
